2 Factor Authentication for Facebook

Objective

Learn how to fix the 403 error when responding to a Facebook review by enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) for your Facebook account and reconnecting it with your NextPaw dashboard.


Enabling Two-Factor Authentication on Facebook

To enable 2FA on your Facebook account, follow these steps:

  1. Access Security Settings: Click Here
    • Go to the top-right corner of Facebook and click the down arrow.
    • Select Settings > Security and Login.
  2. Enable Two-Factor Authentication:
    • Scroll down to the Use two-factor authentication section.
    • Click Manage.
    • Choose your preferred security method and follow the on-screen instructions to set it up.

Reconnecting NextPaw with Facebook

If you’ve already enabled 2FA, follow these steps to reset the connection between your NextPaw account and Facebook:

  1. Log in to NextPaw:
  2. Go to Store Settings:
    • Open Store Settings and select Add-ons.
  3. Disconnect or Connect Now:
    • If the Facebook button reads Disconnect Facebook, click it and confirm the un-authorization.
    • If the button reads Connect Now Facebook, click it to start the authorization process.
  4. Login to Facebook:
    • Log in to your personal Facebook account with admin access to your Business Facebook page.
  5. Allow Permissions:
    • Accept the prompts in the smaller window that appears to allow Facebook access.
  6. Select Your Business Page:
    • After the window closes, select your Business Facebook page from the dropdown.
  7. Save the Connection:
    • Click Save to confirm the Facebook + NextPaw connection.
