2 Factor Authentication for Facebook
Objective
Learn how to fix the 403 error when responding to a Facebook review by enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) for your Facebook account and reconnecting it with your NextPaw dashboard.
Enabling Two-Factor Authentication on Facebook
To enable 2FA on your Facebook account, follow these steps:
- Access Security Settings: Click Here
- Go to the top-right corner of Facebook and click the down arrow.
- Select Settings > Security and Login.
- Enable Two-Factor Authentication:
- Scroll down to the Use two-factor authentication section.
- Click Manage.
- Choose your preferred security method and follow the on-screen instructions to set it up.
Reconnecting NextPaw with Facebook
If you’ve already enabled 2FA, follow these steps to reset the connection between your NextPaw account and Facebook:
- Log in to NextPaw:
- Visit NextPaw Dashboard and log in.
- Go to Store Settings:
- Open Store Settings and select Add-ons.
- Disconnect or Connect Now:
- If the Facebook button reads Disconnect Facebook, click it and confirm the un-authorization.
- If the button reads Connect Now Facebook, click it to start the authorization process.
- Login to Facebook:
- Log in to your personal Facebook account with admin access to your Business Facebook page.
- Allow Permissions:
- Accept the prompts in the smaller window that appears to allow Facebook access.
- Select Your Business Page:
- After the window closes, select your Business Facebook page from the dropdown.
- Save the Connection:
- Click Save to confirm the Facebook + NextPaw connection.
