Add Webchat to Your Site

Objective:

Learn how to add the NextPaw Webchat Widget to your website and engage visitors in real-time by copying and pasting the Webchat code into your site's header tags.

Before installing the Webchat widget, first identify the platform your website is built on. Common platforms include Shopify, WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, and others. If you're unsure, you can go to whatcms.org and enter your website URL to detect your CMS. Once you know your platform, you can copy the Webchat widget code from NextPaw and integrate it into your website's header tags for seamless customer interaction.

How to Retrieve the Webchat Widget Code

1. Go to the Settings Tab
   • Click on the Store Settings tab in your NextPaw dashboard.
   • Select the Info Hub Tab.
2. Enter Your Website Domain
   • Scroll down to the NextPaw Webchat Widget Installation section.
   • Enter the domain of the website where you want to add your Webchat widget.
   • Click the Add Domains button.
3. Copy the Widget Code
   • After your domain appears in the Active Domains section, click the blue clipboard button in the bottom left corner to copy the Webchat widget code to your clipboard.
4. Paste the Code
   • Paste the code into the header tags of your website.
5. Turn on the NextPaw Info Hub widget / NextPaw WebChat Widget
   • Scroll back up to the NextPaw WebChat Widget tool and turn on the options you would like available for users.
6. Select Save
   1. Select Save to complete the setup.

Working with a Web Developer

If you have a web developer managing your website, instead of handling the installation yourself, you can simply provide them with the Webchat code and a link to the installation instructions for your specific platform.
