Archiving A User
Objective:
Archiving a user is a useful tool for temporarily disabling access to the NextPaw dashboard without permanently deleting the user's account. This allows you to maintain your records while preventing a user from interacting with the system. Whether an employee leaves the organization temporarily or permanently, archiving their account helps you maintain organization and security. You can always unarchive them later if needed, reinstating their access to your dashboard.
Important Note: Only Account Owners can archive or unarchive user accounts. Learn more about user roles and permissions here.
How to Archive a User
- From your NextPaw dashboard, select the Business Settings tab and then Users.
- Note: You can use the search bar to find the team member you wish to archive.
- To the right of the user's information, click the red circle icon.
- A pop-up will appear asking you to confirm. Click Yes to disable the user.
The user's account is now archived, and their access to the dashboard has been revoked.
How to Unarchive a User
- From your NextPaw dashboard, select the Business Settings tab and then Users.
- Note: You can use the search bar to find the team member you wish to reactivate.
- To the right of the user's information, click the blue arrow icon.
- The user will now be restored to active status on your dashboard.
The user's account is active, and their access to the dashboard has been restored.
Final Notes
- The user will regain the same login credentials they had before their account was archived.
- If the user was previously assigned to specific locations or roles, those settings will remain intact once they are unarchived.
