Dashboard Analytics

The analytics reporting tool offers a valuable look into how your business is appearing online. In the ever-changing world of online marketing, it’s critical to understand your traffic in order to focus your budget and time efficiently.

Analytics Overview

To find your Analytics Reporting tool, sign in to your NextPaw Dashboard and scroll down to the Analytics Report section.

Your Analytics Reporting tool is broken up into different categories depending on your NextPaw subscription level. Each category displays unique metrics about your digital footprint. 

Date Range

The default date range for analytics is 30 days. To adjust the range, click the date button in the top right corner & select the new date range.

Customer Engagement

In this tab, you can see how often your customers are engaging with you in NextPaw and on your Google My Business page.

  • Conversations shows how many messages you've sent & received, as well as the total number of conversations in your dashboard.
  • Customer Engagement from Google shows how the total number of viewers that have clicked the "Call", "Get Directions", & "Website" buttons on your Google My Business page
  • Google Customer Actions graph breaks down the Customer Engagement from Google metrics by month. *Tip: Hover over the graph to see the values for each month.

  • Customer Engagement from Website shows how many total calls, directions requests & contact form submissions you've received from your website.
  • Website Customer Actions graph breaks down the Customer Engagement from Website metrics by month. *Tip: Hover over the graph to see the values for each month.

Reputation Overview

In this tab, you can see a breakdown of your average review ratings on Facebook & Google, your review invitations, and recent reviews.

  • Reputation Overview shows your total number of review invitations sent, reviews you've responded to as well as total reviews left on Facebook and Google.
  • Review Funnel shows you the number of review invitations sent, viewers that clicked on the review request link, viewers that clicked on a review website (Google or Facebook), and the number of new reviews. *Tip: Hover over the funnel to see the values for each section.
  • Recent Ratings & Reviews shows the most recent reviews left on Facebook or Google. *Tip: Click directly on the review to reply from your Dashboard.
  • Google Reviews graph breaks down your average star rating on Google.
  • New Reviews By Channel shows how many reviews were left on Google vs Facebook.

Search Performance

In this tab, you can see how often you're appearing in searches on Google.

  • Total Consumer Searches that Found Your Business shows you the total number of times your Google My Business page has been found in a Google search.
    - Direct traffic is traffic that came to your business from a direct search of your business name. These are likely returning customers needing a refresher of your hours, location, or website. These can also be new customers that found you based on referrals from friends or family.
    Discovery traffic is traffic that came to your business from an organic keyword search. These are brand new customers who have viewed your Google My Business page for the very first time.
  • # of Searches Where Your Business Was Seen shows you how often your Google My Business page appeared in searches each month. *Tip: Hover over the graph to see the values for each month. 
  • Total Business Views in Google Search & Maps shows you the total number of times your Google My Business page has been found in Google Search & Google Maps.
    Search Views typically come from desktop searches for general keywords. i.e.: "Dog Grooming"
    Map Views typically come from mobile searches, or searches with location tags i.e.: "Dog Groomer Near Me" or "Dog Grooming Orlando"
  • # of Business Views in Google Search & Maps shows you how often your business appeared in Google Search & Maps each month. *Tip: Hover over the graph to see the values for each month.


If you have a NextPaw Website, you'll also see the Website Traffic & Marketing tabs.

Website Traffic

In this tab, you can see your website's traffic, visitors by device, top keywords and pages with the most views.

  • Website Traffic graph shows your total number of website viewers and where they came from.
    -Referral Traffic is traffic to your website from a different website. i.e. You're working with a local rescue organization & they link your website on their event. When someone clicks the link to your website, they're referred to you.
    -
    Direct Traffic is traffic that came to your website by typing your domain into their search bar directly. These are typically repeat customers viewing your website again to check out your services, brands, hours, etc.
    -Organic Traffic is traffic that came to your website from an organic search. These are brand new customers who viewed your website for the first time. *Tip: Because these are brand new customers, we always want Organic Traffic to be the biggest piece of the pie! 
  • Visitors By Device shows you how many visitors viewed your website on desktop, mobile or tablet views per month.
  • Keywords with the Most Clicks shows which keywords your business is being found for the most in online searches.
  • Pages with the Most Views shows you which pages on your website are most often viewed.

Marketing

In this tab, you can see the overall metrics for the marketing tab in your dashboard. This section displays the total & active number of announcements, events, promotions, and blogs in your NextPaw Dashboard for the active date range.
