Types of Messages, an Overview

Inbound messages

Pet parents are always looking for the best place for their pets. They might find your business through a Google listing or social media site. With NextPaw, you can allow potential customers to start conversations with your business through Facebook Messenger, webchat, and text messaging, all while centralizing these conversations into your NextPaw Inbox.

Facebook Messenger is a great way to connect with consumers who surf social media before making a purchase. Someone can start a conversation over Facebook Messenger app with your business and that conversation will automatically be routed to your NextPaw Inbox.

Website messages are available in a couple of different ways on your NextPaw website. You have a pop-up chat widget available on every page of your website that customers can utilize, or they can visit your Contact Us page. Either way, they're asked for their name, phone number, and they're given a spot to ask their question(s).

Once they submit their message, they'll get an automatic text message letting them know that you got their message and will text them back shortly with an answer. This automatically creates a new contact in your NextPaw dashboard.

Short messaging service (SMS) and multimedia messaging service (MMS) are ways a customer can send a text message.  After starting with NextPaw, we purchase a textable number for your business. That number can then be posted somewhere in your business storefront, marketing material, or on your website, making contacting your business very easy.

Outbound messages

There are several types of common outbound messages that you might send to an individual once they are a customer. Those outbound messages include review requests, payment requests, and more.

Review requests are an easy way to boost the number of reviews you have on Google and Facebook. You can easily request a review via text messages to all of your happy customers in just a few seconds. Just log into your NextPaw dashboard, click on the green Request Review button, include the customer's name & phone number, then hit Send Request.

The customer will then get a text message from the phone number we purchased for your business with a link to leave you a review. You can see this and text back & forth with your customer under the messages tab.

Payment requests make it as easy as clicking a link to pay for pet products or services while your customers are on the go. You can send a link to a secure invoice via text, email, or Facebook Messenger right inside NextPaw. From there, it’s simple for customers to pay via ACH, credit or debit card, or mobile payment options such as Apple Pay® or Google Pay®.

And more! You can start new conversations in your NextPaw dashboard to text your customers about appointments, orders, deliveries, and beyond.
