Requesting reviews is one of the most beneficial things that you can do for your business. There are a few rules of thumb to requesting reviews that you should keep in mind. 

• Make It Personal. Ask your customer for the review in person, while their experience with your business is fresh on their mind. 
• Give your customer a heads up about when they will receive the invite.
• Let them know how they will receive the invite, by text message. 
• Express why it’s important for them to click the link. Online reviews help local businesses!

There are cases when you do everything right, but life gets in the way of your customers actually leaving their review for you.
