2 Factor Authentication for Facebook

To fix a 403 error when responding to a Facebook review you'll just want to add 2-factor authentication to your Facebook account. (If you already have that setup, you'll skip to part two which is re-connecting your NextPaw dashboard to Facebook.)

Enable 2-factor authentication on your Facebook account:

  1. Go to your Security and Login Settings by clicking  in the top right corner of Facebook and clicking Settings > Security and Login.
  2. Scroll down to Use two-factor authentication and click Manage.
  3. Choose the security method you want to add and follow the on-screen instructions.

To reset the connection between NextPaw and Facebook:

  1. Login to https://app.nextpaw.com
  2. Click Settings (Bottom left hand corner, in the blue menu.)
  3. Click 'Accounts'
  4. If the Facebook button reads 'Unauthorize Facebook' start by clicking 'Unauthorize Facebook' and confirm the un-authorization.
  5. If the Facebook button reads 'Authorize Facebook' simply click the 'Authorize Facebook' button to get started.
  6. Log in to your personal Facebook page that has Admin access to your Business Facebook Page.
  7. Allow and accept all of the questions that you are asked in the smaller window that opens.
  8. After the smaller window closes, you'll want to select your Business Facebook page from the drop down options.
  9. Click 'Save' to confirm the Facebook + NextPaw connection.
